The Knicks need more than a new uniform. They need leadership both on and off the court. All the way from the back office to the players on the court, we need a team that will live up to the excitement of the city that never sleeps. C’mon, we are New York! I think that the new New Yorkers, the Brooklyn Nets, have a better understanding of what being in New York means. Over the summer, they took some serious action. They beefed up their squad with Joe Johnson and resigned Deron Williams and Gerald Wallace. I think they probably now have one of the best backcourts in the league outside of Kobe and Nash on the Lakers. During the same summer months, the Knicks lost Lin and Fields, their starting back court. They reunited with former Knicks Marcus Camby and Kurt Thomas while also bringing Jason Kidd onboard. All three veterans are nearing the end of their career so I am not sure how the Knicks management thinks this is a step in the right direction. We also acquired Ronnie Brewer who still has time to develop his skills, however we only signed the 27 year old to a 1 year contract. It leaves me wondering if the future New York fans will look to the Nets to represent their great city. I am tired of waiting for good decisions to be made by the Knicks. And I am only in the sixth grade! I can’t even think of what Knicks long timers feel about this year’s team and the summer that wasn’t anything special…again. It’s really time for the Knicks to take action and follow the Nets lead of making good decisions. Not just changing uniforms. Please comment!

I'm a Knicks old-time die hard and sometimes I feel like I am dying slowly Knick fan with the ups and downs they have put me through. Brooklyn had a great off-season and who is to say they are finished?

Yeah, I know it stinks! If they had kept Lin our team would be THAT much better! I mean if we kept Lin, we could have Felton play the 2-guard and there you go, a solid backcourt! I hate talking about Lin because we will not have him next season, it really stinks! Anyway, thanks for posting!

The Knicks are in trouble. I never liked, or should I say, noticed the Nets, but I am excited about their debut in NY. I feel excitement around the new team and sure a rivalry will develop over time. THe Knicks should be embarrased if they let a new team take over their home.

I can't see myself routing for the Nets over the Knicks. While it may be painful to be NY Knicks fan sometimes, there's no place like MSG, where the only true NY team plays. GO KNICKS!!!

I can only see myself rooting for the Nets vs everyone else who is competing with playoff rankings...

I couldn't have said it better. Wake up Knicks. Dolan needs to leave and let someone else make the decisions. The Knicks should be the team to beat in NY, not the Nets. It is so frustrating. Wake up Knicks, wake up!!!!!!
