On Thursday (July 10th), I visited one of basketball’s greatest street ball parks, Rucker Park. I got the true New York experience and I got to see some great players including one known as Kemba Walker play on the hardwood. I’ll get to that stuff in a second. Anyway, the experience at Rucker Park really gave me a good sense of what street ball looks like. There was lots of dunking and crossover moves that got the crowd ooh-ing and aah-ing. It was packed and it was not easy to find a seat to watch these players ball out, but if you got in you would definitely know that it was worth waiting in line. I also interviewed many players at Rucker which I will talk about in upcoming blogs but today I will talk about interviewing Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker.
Kemba Walker is a very nice person to be with and I am happy he gave me the opportunity to interview him. After this interview, I realized that he was not just a guy that put people on the floor doing beautiful crossovers, but he is a very normal person just like me and you and I have just became one of his biggest fans. Anyway, here is the interview with the one and only Charlotte Hornets starting point guard Kemba Walker.
This is part 1 of the EBC Rucker Park tournament coverage. Last night, team Montana (Kemba’s team) defeated team Madoff 92-88. More coverage and interviews coming up soon for the blog. Thanks for reading and please comment!
