On Monday November 26th, the basketball battle for New York will occur. I expect there to be some hard fouls and a lot of chanting from the crowd in the game of the New York Knicks going up against, the new team, the Brooklyn Nets. The Brooklyn Nets roster contains one of the best backcourts in the league having two all-stars named Deron Williams and Joe Johnson. For the Knicks though, they have Raymond Felton at the point guard and future hall of famer Jason Kidd. The point guard matchup, Raymond Felton vs. Deron Williams, I think is the key matchup. Raymond Felton has a lot to show in this game, for example, he has to show if he can stop the best player on the Nets, Deron Williams. Now to the shooting guard matchup, which is Jason Kidd vs. Joe Johnson. I think that Jason Kidd has to move those old legs fast up and down the court and get back to defend Joe Johnson because he is younger and quicker than the third oldest player in the NBA right now, Jason Kidd. Now the small forward matchup is Ronnie Brewer vs. Gerald Wallace. This I think will be an interesting matchup because Brewer is a good young defender and can handle Gerald Wallace, who is a fast and aggressive scorer and a big part for the Nets. I’ll definitely be looking at this matchup during the game. Next, the power forward matchup, Carmelo Anthony vs. Kris Humphries. This matchup I think is the least exciting because Carmelo Anthony is a complete superstar and can beat Kris Humphries any day he wants. Plus, Kris Humphries is not having his greatest year this year either. The only possible way for Humphries to win the matchup against Carmelo is that he will have to guard him like Thabo Sefelosha guards Kobe Bryant. That’s the only way. Finally, we have the center matchup, which is Tyson Chandler vs. Brook Lopez. This will also be a very interesting matchup because Brook Lopez is having one of the best years of his young career and averaging 8.5 points in the first quarter, right behind New York Knick player Carmelo Anthony who averages 10.5 points in the first quarter, but Tyson Chandler won Defensive Player of the Year last year, so it will be very interesting. I think this game will come down to the wire and it will be a very close game, but I really want the Knicks to win. What do you think is the key matchup? Do you think this will be a very close game at the end? I want to know your thoughts, so please comment!!

You were right it was a close game. Felton was exposed. He couldn't handle the defense and even acknowledged it on live tv by explaining to chandler and melo why he can't pass the ball to chandler on the alley oops.
